Q How do I join?
Click on the membership form link, print off the form, fill it in and send it to:- The Corn Exchange, Market Place, Newbury, Berkshire RG14 5BD. We are often oversubscribed but your name will be placed on a waiting list should this happen. 

Q How much does it cost?
Senior group:- £50 per term - A term is a nominal 10 weeks. Each fee payable in advance and is non refundable. 

Q What does the NYT do?
Develop young people's theatrical skills and above all, have fun. 

Q What will I learn?
To express yourself, to work with other people - your age and professionals - in a theatrical environment each session tutored by professional directors. 

Q Where and when does it meet?
.NYT meet at New Greenham Arts at New Greenham Park.
Senior group Wednesdays 7.30-9.30pm, Term time only. This is a nominal 10 weeks. 

Q How old must I be to join?
Senior group 14-21 

Q Can I have the opportunity to direct productions?

Q What if I don't want to act?
There are opportunities for stage management, lighting, sound, backstage experience and front of house. All youth theatre performances are technically run by the members under the supervision of professionals 

Q Can I learn new skills?
Yes of course! 

Q Can I do technical work?
Yes, all technical departments are run by NYT members. 

Q Who runs NYT?
Members! All under the artistic direction of Robin Strapp and other directors supported by a members' committee 

Q Does the NYT tour?
Yes, for the past 16 consecutive years to The Edinburgh Fringe Festival and to schools and Arts' Centres within Berkshire 

Q Where are the performances staged?
The Corn Exchange, Newbury - New Greenham Arts, Greenham Common - Edinburgh Fringe and touring opportunities 

Q Are there auditions?
No, all you need is enthusiasm, committment and a love of theatre.
