We are delighted to announce that we are returning to Arlington Arts in September 2021!
The global pandemic has permeated all aspects of our lives, and the arts and cultural sectors have been particularly badly hit. Not only could live performances not take place, but rehearsals also have proved to next to impossible.
Initially, we worked on Zoom in short sessions but we decided that our company were already expected to spend so much time on laptops and tablets for school and work that it was untenable (and unhealthy) to continue this into the evening.
The impact of lockdowns, bubbles and living under measures to control transmission of the virus is yet to be fully understood. Therefore, we resolved to remain closed until we could be certain of welcoming young people back to an environment that was safe, consistent and could be as free from restrictions as possible.
That day appears to be on the horizon, so we have decided that it is time to get back to making exuberant, ambitious theatre with young people. If this sounds like something you are interested in (or if you are a former member of our company, itching to return) you are welcome to join us from Wednesday 15 September (18.30-19.30 – 11-14 Yrs | 19.30-21.00 – 15-19 Yrs).
More information about our history and memberships is available on our About page (above). We are a resident company of Arlington Arts, Newbury, which is on the campus of Mary Hare School (Snelsmore Common, Newbury, Berkshire, RG14 3BQ)
