Workshops take place at Arlington Arts, Mary Hare, Snelsmore Common, Newbury, RG14 3BQ on Wednesday evenings. Our young company (aged 11-14) meet from 6:30 to 7:30pm and the senior company (15-19 year olds) from 7:30 to 9:00pm.

For over 30 years we have been providing local young people with the opportunity to join our ensemble in making award-winning, critically acclaimed productions.

Much of our reputation has been founded over 20 years of touring to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, where we have consistently been met with unprecedented praise by the press there:

There are no auditions to join NYT and no restrictions to membership apart from a commitment from members to support each other, have energy, enthusiasm, a willingness to learn and, above all, have a love of theatre in its widest sense. Many of the past members have successfully gone on to drama colleges, teacher training and some have returned to act as tutors.

“This is storytelling at the highest level, told with vigour and intelligence that completely engages adults as well as children.”
